p0tter Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 I am trying to mount my 2x120mm radiator in the 5.25 bays. Going to drill 2 holes at the top and either suck or blow air out. But given the size of the SUPER(small)LAN BOY the psu is in the way. So, i was thinking could I just sit the PSU at the bottom of the case blocking the PCI slots? I would lose all but 1 PCI slot. I still will be able to fit my 6800GT and have no need for PCI slots anyways. Is there any grounding issues with this idea ? Any dangers ? I have a OCZ powerstream and the fans are in the front and rear, so no air flow issues. I would get a new case, but the lanboy is pretty beat up so I thought Id give it a try. Thoughts ? davidhammock200 Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 I don't see any problems, just make sure there is a good electrical contact between the case & the PSU. GL

lowfat Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 Common ground. I've ran systems many times with the psu sitting on carpet no problems.

fordf250 Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Nice work! Do you use it for gamming? The only thing keeping me from doing something like that is I need 1pci slot for my sound card.I did lots of gamming without the sound card then one day bought one and it made a big diff in my in game fps as it took the sound work away from the cpu.
