MerlinTSO Posted July 8, 2003 Posted July 8, 2003 Can anyone tell me how high an AMD XP 2700+ can handle temperaturewise? Currently its 120F with 1.750 core volts and fsb at 180. thx
Overclocker16 Posted July 8, 2003 Posted July 8, 2003 (edited) Die temp on all CPU's (as far as I know) is 90*C. Now, anything under 50*C is fine. PS: Try to convert to C lol, easier to figure out. sYstEmATiC Posted July 8, 2003 Posted July 8, 2003 (edited) if someone told me the weather in celsius i would probably shoot them lol no j/k. when it comes to cpus i think have it figured out but 120 i think that is abot 47C* but technically you can get away with it up to 55-60C* but no more or you will shorten the lifespan of your cpu buy a lot. (i dont like to see any cpu get past 50C* though...just my preference) but your ok. and for overclocker16, i think the palominos are 90C* but i think the t-breds and bartons are 80C* Edited July 8, 2003 by sYstEmATiC
tkos Posted July 8, 2003 Posted July 8, 2003 if it is a Barton core your max temp is 80 C. if its a T Bred it tops out a little higher...............but never actually run them that high, thats the temp they die at!!!
