NF3-mem slots 1&2 vs 1&3

Recommended Posts

Iv'e almost always used 1&3 since I got this rig.Iv'e seen a majority of ppl using 1&2 so I thought I'd see what the difference is if any. After playin with it for a week,it seems on my board 1&3 comes out on top.Example-same

voltage and timings 11x250 errors memtest #5 in slots 1&2 but runs fine in 1&3.I can run slots 1&2 but I have to loosen the timings from 2-3-3-6 to

2.5-3-3-7.Bottom line seems to be that overall cpu speed the same but I can run the mem tighter in 1&3.I tested each stick individually then together.Just wondering if anybody else has similar results.

Ive had weirder results on my 250gb..

I own two sets of OCZ pc3200rev2 ram..

One set worked better in 1 and 3.. the other worked better in 1 and 2..lol..

This is why when people ask which slots to use there is NO correct answer..

Yeah Thunda no right or wrong for sure.I was happy runnin 1&3 for so long i never really cared much about it,but decided what the hell see which one is the best for me.Iv'e been doin the same with bios lately too. 3/31/ seems to be the best for this rig.
