typhoon43 Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Hi guys. 1st post and 1st AMD rig since my trusty litle Duron 600 did 1000 on air. I am sooooo lost with these AMD's, but I've read the OC guides and went at it. Here's my results, and I'd like to get some input on why I'm so low (in my mind) Gear: 3000+ Venice DFI LanParty NF4 SLI-DR 1 Gig Corsair XMS XPERT 3200 EVGA 6800GT 74Gig Raptor **WATERCOOLED** After going with the guide.. Here are my Maxes: HTT: 309.55 CPU: 2561.23 FSB: 265@ 2.5-3-3-8-1T VDIMM: 2.83 VID/Vcor: 1.50 What I settled for so far: FSB: 280 HTT: 280 HTT Multi: 4x (for 1120 total HTT) RAM/CPU ratio: 9:10 (results in 252 Mhz RAM) CPU: 2520.7 Mhz Vcore: 1.52 Never saw a load temp over 42C Super Pi 1M= 33 secs Everest latency: 39 So can I give her some more voltage? I mean, 2500 is a good OC I suppose, but I figured on H20 with my DFI I could be one of the 26-2700 crowd. Any settings I should check? What I find odd is that before I knew any better, I did an Ntune auto tune, and it raised my PCI-E to like 140, and my HTT to 1600  I ran CS:S at my stock 1.8 Ghz and I got more FPS than I do now at 2520 with the FSB cranked. I won't touch it now, since most people say NTune can hose your box, but it has me a tad frazzled. So, more voltage for the CPU? 5x HTT multi? This thing has to have more in it.. Thanks! Josh Edit: Image removed. Sorry, didn't see the 800x600 max
THunDA Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 At 280htt I would lower the LDT to 3x .. More cpu voltage might help if your temps are good.. Also its better to use a lower CPU Vid and then add more Vid Special to it for your desired vcore.. this has helped some others clock better.. Also you need to read through the rules.. you need to make sig with your complete system specs and also that pic is WAY bigger then allowed.. you need to resize it to 800-600 or use the [bimg] tags..
