Sharp Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Hello, The board can use 2 audio drivers, realtek one and nvidia one realtek Audio drivers = SPDIF jumper on pins 1-2 for it to work. (Realtek codec will be generating the digital signal) nVidia Audio drivers = SPDIF jumper on pins 2-3 for it to work. (And the nvidia MCP will be generating the digial signal) I think thats how it works.
tephra Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 rightyo... so which drivers are better?
Sharp Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Hello, I prefer the nvidia drivers, Realtek drivers seem to have more treble effects coming out of the speakers. Bass does not work in games that do not support 3d surround sound too. nvidia driver sounds better (I believe) and bass effects work all the time. But I dont know how it is with the SPDIF connector.
