Computer Specs are in the Sig.--) I have posted several times before with the same issues as most people I see on here... Rebooting/Freezing/BSODs at the Windows Login screen. At first I was using an Ultra X-Connect psu, but just put in my new (native 24pin) OCZ ModStream... The problem is, I have tried SOOOO many settings and timings I don't know whats what anymore. I don't even know how to set this thing to stock settings. All of this makes no sense to me because I am a major newb with these Timings... Yes, I probably should have bought a different MoBo, but too late now... I just need some MAJOR Help getting my rig running and stable... I don't mind if it's overclocked a little bit as long as it's stable and will give me many years of life! I am currently using the 310 Bios Release, but am thinking I should flash to a newer beta release. Also, The ONLY setting that have allowed me to boot into Windows are these: Genie BIOS Settings: 200 auto 16 16 auto 105 disable 1.500v 1.325v above VID 113% 1.20v 1.60v 2.90v DRAM Config: 200 (This option is not avail to me... Its always enabled) 2 2 7 2 13 16 2 2 1 2 4708 auto enabled auto 0 Level 5 Level 1 Auto Auto 256 disable 16 07 disable If I change ANYTHING from those, I get all the problems... I don't know what to do, please help me. And if you are going to refer me to another thread... I have read them ALL, even the ones with the different timings all laid out... How do I do it with just the AWDFLASH.EXE and the BIN file ? Also, how do I clear the CMOS... I know it has to do with the jumper on the MoBo, but how what are exactly the steps I should follow? malinois1 Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 OK so you want to flash heh I will list a few easy steps. 1) Make a bootable floppy. I.E. put floppy in drive right click on drive and put a check on cearte an ms dos startup disk 2 put AWDFLASH.EXE and the BIN file on the floppy 3 reboot and go into bios and load optimized defaults. then f10 save and exit 4 boot to floppy 5 type ... awdflash biosname.bin /py/sn/wb/cd/cd/cp 6 awdflash will eventually tell you to remove disk and hit F1...system will reboot 7 go back into bios and load optimized defaults then set up as you wish Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

And I haven't the slightest clue what settings to use to even get this thing booting to windows and stable... So I am not sure what to do. At All... I am probably going to end up having to buy a brand new motherboard, because I have been trying to get this thing working for 3weeks now, and I have hardly gotten any help on it, and I am really getting sick of trying to figure this crap out... I seriously need someone to walk me thru this stuff... Otherwise it's a loss cause.... You can tell me to change a setting or give me settings to try with different options (i.e. DRAM Drive Strength - Level 6, 5 or 7) its stuff like that that confuses me, especuially when its all the way down the settings.... I have NO clue how all these settings work together So I have NO clue what to do... Its a lost cause trying to point me in the direction of threads explaining what all tjhese things mean, cause I have read most of them and it still makes no sense.... I am not a computer guru like some... and I really would not have bought this board if I knew it was this much of a hastle... but I am kinda stuck now... So someone.... PLEASE HELP ME... Walk me thru this... I keep asking for help, and I see others getting a LOT of help in their threads, and in mine all I am getting is "check outthis thread or look at this..."
