Sgt_Strider Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 I can't seem to find my thread on error messages so I'll create a new one. I get this error message after Windows crashes, "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL". What does this mean? thanks.

Sgt_Strider Posted June 18, 2005 Posted June 18, 2005 Alright I have a new error message now. "Machine_Check_Exception" STOP: 0x0000009C (0x0000004, 0x80545FF0, 0xB2000000, 0x0007OFOF) This time I can't seem to get to the Desktop w/o Windows crashing and displaying that message. I went to the BIOS enabled Mem86+ and the tests didn't say anything about memory errors so I'm assuming it's not that. I'm suspecting that my hard drive may have some detected errors on the disk and that needs to be fixed. However I can't seem to go to Windows and enable the more thorough scandisk to fix the disk errors, which is probably why I can't get into the desktop. Anyone here have some solutions for me? Btw I tried Safe Mode and it doesn't work. Instead it'll freeze as the drivers are unloaded and restarts itself. The default scandisks freezes at 21% after scanning my disk and restarts itself. It then goes on a never ending cycle of freezing and restarting. I don't want to format the disk yet as I have some valuable data on the HD. Thanks. Sgt_Strider Posted June 18, 2005 Posted June 18, 2005 I used to get that at first to, up the voltage on your RAM. It's alright at 2.9V and I'm not sure if TCCD can handle 3.0V. I don't think it's the lack of voltages for the RAM because my RAM isn't exhibiting any errors in the Mem86 test.

Sgt_Strider Posted June 19, 2005 Posted June 19, 2005 Ok I think it's my hard drive with some unrecoverable errors. I tried using the Windows Recovery Console to fix this, but it won't work. I tried chkdsk /p /r and it'll just go to 30% and stop. I get a error message saying there is one or more unrecoverable errors. Sgt_Strider Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 I got the drive to work after using Maxtor's hard drive utility. Anyway, I have a new problem now after I formatted the drive and reinstalled Windows. DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_OR_LESS_EQUAL

Frallan Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 Also with TCCD U shoud try Drivestrength 6 or 8 and VDIM 2.7-2.8 (that is less then what U have) the IRQ_less_then_.... is a typical memory error message.
