Which 5/10 BIOS? One of the one's from Oskar Wu's site or the one fro

Which 5/10 BIOS should I download? I need Dual Core support. Should I download one of the one's from Oskar Wu's site or the one from DFI's beta site? DFI only has one version, where there are three versions on Oskar's site. Thank you.

As far as im aware of you can use any of the 510 bios for the X2. If you have TCCD memory, you can use 510-1 and 510-3. If you have BH-5 or high voltage memory you can use 510-2 or 510-3

what is better for BH-5, 510-2 or -3? I have a X2 4400+ on the way but I just bought a 3000+ Venice to use untill X2 comes. Im having tons of trouble getting my BH-5 to work normal...cant even get 250 yet. Im pretty sure whatever this venice likes the X2 will like so I think a bios flash is in order :)

From my experience with my Redline XP4000 [i know G.Skill is in my sig] which is CH-5 UTT 510-2 worked best since its memory table was made for it...but I have to say Hellfire's 510-2 Bios are the best for winbond. I was able to do DDR500 at 3.1v with Hellfire Bios so you should give it a try. 510-3 is great too, its has both memory tables incorporated for general memory overclocking for any ram.

Oh yea Rev.E loves winbond yeah some DFI nf4 boards completely hate Bh-5 no matter what also it depends on your memory timings and some dividers dont work..for example no matter what 510-x bios 180 divider doesnt work but 166 is smooth.

510-2 for BH-5. Put them in the yellow slots too.

Yes the yellow slots, completely forgot to mention that some reason the yellow slots are engineered for high voltage ram something about science or whatever

Does the Venice act the same in terms of memory timings as the X2? I just got this 3000+ venice today along with an X800XL to use for 12 days untill the good stuff comes :P (then frys gives me my money back lol)

Cant say since X2 is a different Revision [E6] and I dont own one [yet] but there are a few people who can answer your question like OnePageBook or s7e9h3n you should get their experiences and there both nice guys if you send them a pm asking about X2 memory timings differences.

If changing from a Venice [E3] to a X2 [E6] is anything like I did from going to a winchester [E2] to a San Diego [E3] then yeah memory timings will change in a big way I had to almost start from scratch when I switched but the basic timings will stay the same just the more advanced will change.
