You need to flash it to the 6/19 or later Bios, then it will get recognised as a Mobile(if its Infinity or LanParty B that is...). What Bios is on it now?

So yes, thats normal its just the micro-codes for the mobiles were only added in the 6/19/2004 Bios and later... If you plan on overclocking on that board i advise you start off with that Bios since you have a mobile...

But still, it will always get detected as 800mhz so you have to set up the multiplier manually in the Bios to run it at rated speed :)

Btw, as OldGuy says, which board is it? I'm assuming its an Infinity or LanParty B but guess i could be wrong lol...

If your planning on using that board its probably a good idea to add the full system specs in your sig alongside your NF3.

ok guys

i have updated my sig

its all i can get for now

i have HELLFIRE BIOS 3 EG modified 1/21 RS rev. 3

wich bios should i choose?

i only see 128 cache l2.....is it because the bios is not recongizing the mobile?

i have the rig on my table......

i am using the table as a box

my system is very stable and even with the crappy tt silent boost i got this mobile at 220 x 11 (2405 mhz) with 1,7 v reaching 52,5 º c max

do i really need to change my bios?

the lack of cache l2 tells me ...yes

can anyone help me with the volts and temps......

sorry for the english but its not my native language

Same here... Me wonderin whether hes really got a Mobile Barton there?

Hmmm, a Sempron maybe? Thats why its not identified in that Bios because Sempron support was only added in the 7/28 Bios... Just a wild guess...

Something at the back of my head is also telling me that Socket A Semprons do get recognised as only having 128kb L2 Cache on some boards without the proper Bios Support, but don't quote me on that...

I think Steelballzz could definitely do with posting those steppings of that chip so we can confirm what it actually is.

You want the 6/19 Bios. Don't update to that one, its not for mobiles.

Just "Load Optimised Defaults" in the Bios ande save. Also clear the Cmos jumper, then Flash.

Yes you can use Winflash on these boards if you wish but its even easier to download the Diamond Flash Image, double click on the .EXE you downloaded with a floppy in the drive and it will create a bootable image. Boot off that floppy and it will flash your bios using all the correct switches automatically... Press F1(i think its F1...) when its finished and it prompts you too then on reboot just enter the Bios and Load Optimised Defaults etc again... Anyway, i guess you already know the drill :)
