Lil confused about CPU voltages...

what does all of this mean?

Hope you don't mind, Grinch, but I want to add this onto your question:

 

When you use the "CPU Special Control - Above VID," does that mean you are letting voltage to the cpu FLUCTUATE?

 

Example: Say you set CPU VID Control to 1.450v, and

CPU VID Special Control - Above VID * to 110%.

 

Then does a steady 1.450v X 1.1= 1.595v go to the cpu?

- - - Or - - -

Does this mean you are allowing voltage sent to cpu to fluctuate between 1.450v and 1.595v depending on demand?

Pretty sure...

It isn't fluctuation. CPU Control x CPU Special = VCore = what the CPU receives as soon as the OS takes over. The special simply allows more granular control.

CPU Startup is provided from power on through POST.
