Grinch Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 what does all of this mean? CPU startup ,CPU ,CPU VID
Guest scott Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Hope you don't mind, Grinch, but I want to add this onto your question: When you use the "CPU Special Control - Above VID," does that mean you are letting voltage to the cpu FLUCTUATE? Example: Say you set CPU VID Control to 1.450v, and CPU VID Special Control - Above VID * to 110%. Then does a steady 1.450v X 1.1= 1.595v go to the cpu? - - - Or - - - Does this mean you are allowing voltage sent to cpu to fluctuate between 1.450v and 1.595v depending on demand? spdiscus Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Pretty sure... It isn't fluctuation. CPU Control x CPU Special = VCore = what the CPU receives as soon as the OS takes over. The special simply allows more granular control. CPU Startup is provided from power on through POST.
