hdtvrocks Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Hi, My new A64 build is somewhat unstable. I'm able to run Prime95 for hours but sometimes my machine will reboot. I recently moved my videocard to the lower slot so it doesn't cover the chipset fan but after this move I can't uninstall my video drivers without a BSOD. I've tried in safe mode as well and still get a BSOD. My cpu, pwmic, chipset temps at idle are 35,42,45C. If I allow my debug to be sent to MS on the subsequent bootup, it says I have a driver issue. I was thinking perhaps the my nvidia nforce4 6.53 drivers might be the issue but from this forum it seems like it's the recommended version. Sharp Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Hello, Odd random restarts may indicate a weak power supply/lack of power. What power supply are you using? (another Sig update) Did you plug all the power connectors into the board too? 24pin 4pin +12v floppy drive - under CPU socket hard drive - top of chipset fan

At the same time I plugged in the floppy drive power connector. I tried uninstalling my video drivers but again I got BSOD. I think I may need to reformat.
