Lanparty 925X-T2 Faulty

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just installed a new Lanparty 925X-T2 but I think it is dead on arrival.

I installed the CPU/Heatsink&Fan/Ram/Video Card.

CPU:

Intel Pentium 4 540 3.2Ghz Processor

- Processor Speed: 540 / 3.20GHz

- Cache Size: 1MB

- Processor Socket: Socket 775

Heatsink&Fan:

Ultra Fire Socket 775 P4 3.8Ghz Copper Core CPU Fan

RAM:

Mushkin 1024MB PC4200 DDR2 533MHz (512MBx2)

Memory Size: 2 x 512MB

Memory Speed: 533MHz PC4200

Memory CAS Latency: 4-4-4-12

Memory Type: Dual Channel DDR2

Pins: 240

Video Card:

BFG GeForce 6200 PCIe 256MB w/DVI& TV-OUT

GPU/VPU: NVIDIA GeForce 6200

Video Memory: 256MB

Memory Type: DDR

Interface Type: PCI Express

Connector(s): DVI TV/S-Video VGA

After installing everything and booting up I get one long beep, repeating forever. I have since tried reseating RAM, Video Card, CPU. I have tried taking the video card out, as well as running only one stick of RAM. The onboard diagnostic LEDs stick at LEDs 2&4 on, 1&3 off (USB initialization). I have also tried running the motherboard out of the case to see if there was a grounding problem.

I think the motherboard may be faulty on arrival. Any help or contact numbers would be greatly appreciate. The dfi.com North America website is down and I can not find any contact information.

Thanks

Sounds Dead on Arival (DOA) after the troubleshooting. Previously a single long beep (regardless of the LED output) meant major bios problems which even flashing didnt solve, however that was on a LAnparty 875 board.

If you have any other memory try switching that out with it, as well as video card. Otherwise contact DFI for a RMA (or your place of purchase which may be faster, depends).

With the old BIOS, whenever you turn ON the 925X-T2 coming from POWER-OFF (not standby power), on occasion you'd get a loooong beep, to continue just press the RESET button and it should continue to boot up.

Try upgrading your bios to the latest, if you haven't done so yet. The latest bios version doesn't have this problem that I've describe.

Good luck.
