sireddie Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 I'm having troubble getting over 240MHz with my nF4 Ultra-D and my 2x512 TwinMOS Speed Premium PC3500 sticks. Memtest ran 14 hours without errors at 250MHz with 1,5-2-2-2 (1T) timings @3.5v but SuperPi failes unless I come down to 240Mhz. Increasing VDIMM and/or losening timings don't seem to help. I'll probably have to do some more burn-in to get it stable over 260 (am I dreaming?), but untill then I'd like to se what BIOS settings works for your setup. Here are my settings: Any advice/comments is welcome, but BIOS-settings are prefered. Edit: Pictures fixed
EL_ Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 I got better stability higher mem frequency with the 510-2bios the 310 didn't like the bh-5. I am now running at 3/4 fsb309 adn memory about 230 2-2-2-5 and it is prime stable 24hrs at 2.7ghz. I'll run prime at 2.785 once I install the new burner. try setting dram preamble to 5.5 instead of 5 I hear that works well once you get near you limit. I think you should just use a divider as I can go higher with them and still get good/not great bandwidth.
Guest jaco Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 try different dram drive strength / data drive strength settings. might give you more stability. i have mine set at 7 /2 (not sure ) tref -> pretty important , try and see what works best. sireddie Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Thanks for your reply's guys. I'll do some more burn-in before I try your settings. So I'll post here again in a few days to let you know if it helped.
