fartonmyear Posted June 4, 2005 Posted June 4, 2005 i plugged in my rebel xt into all my usb ports and i get the same error message. that it's not plugged in a hi-speed usb. i installed the usb driver from the dfi cd, but it still doesn't work. in the device manager it says i have usb 2...usually i would be able to figure this out, but i'm stumped... bios image:
seamuso Posted June 4, 2005 Posted June 4, 2005 If it's XP, you shouldn't need to install any drivers for the USB 2 to work. Try uninstalling the USB and then have it redetect. This is what it should look like: [bimg]http://info.bluefrogcs.com/images/devices.jpg[/bimg]

seamuso Posted June 4, 2005 Posted June 4, 2005 Do you have any front USB ports connected to the mb? If so, try disconnecting them .. see if that makes a difference. I had a gigabyte mb that was USB2, but wouldn't run as USB2 when it was connected to the front panel ports
fartonmyear Posted June 4, 2005 Posted June 4, 2005 i thought usb 2.0 doesn't work if you don't have sp1 and i don't have sp1.
