Smitty2k1 Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 Hi all, brand new computer built about an hour ago, and I get this message. PXE-E61: Media Test Failure, Check Cable The BIOS is not detecting my HDD (120GB Western Digital 8MB Cache) nor will it boot from my WinXP instal CD. However the CD Rom has power to it because it opens and closes. Using DFI SLI-DR. Boot order is as follows: HDD, CDROM, Floppy. Help? (Thanks)

pgamble Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 If you have any USB bootable devices ..... disable them. I had this .... turned out it was trying to boot from a card reader.
