3000 winnie, crappy OC help!

Recommended Posts

Guest AgentOrange

Alright let's get down to business, I have OC'd my winnie 3000 to 2.13ghz (9x237), now I have seen all around here 3000 winnies clearing 275! I can crank it up to 240 w/ no benchmarks but when i run them i get BSOD. I haven't messed with the voltages or multiplier due to the fact that i don't really understand the correlation they have with each other. I didn't really understand Rgones OC post (http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3846) and all my memory timings are Rgones (http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5844)

P.S. I didn't do my research when it came to this mobo about memory, i was wondering what has worked really well for you guys. Thanks!

i dont know how good your ram is at overclocking so you might want to try running a divider on it and make sure your ldt is set to 3 or auto if you want to hit 275. it took me a good couple weeks of playing with all the settings to finally get to 275x9 stable so just keep trying. some of these winchesters can be a headache but well worth the effort.

Yup, stick the memory down on the slowest divider to see how far you can push the chip. You might not be able to get it up to 275 or wherever, mine certainly doesn't push that far, unless I pump huge amounts of voltage through it.
