@ OldGuy:

4X256Meg Patriot XBLK Adventure

1) Started with the 0602 Original BIOS: 4 sticks would not POST for love nor money at any setting.

2) With 0629 BIOS: 4 sticks would not POST at 1T for love nor money also.

3) With 0629 BIOS, and 2T I got up to 9X285 with no memtest errors. 200 2T 2.5-3-7-3-Auto-->Auto

4) With 0629 BIOS, and 2T I got up to 9X310 with no memtest errors. 200 2T 2.5-4-7-3-Auto-->Auto

Conclusion:

4X256 overclocks almost as well as 2X256 @1T, but that's probably because of Trcd having to be set at 4 when above 280-290.... Also, 2T doesn't hurt... :D

How did you get 4 sticks to post at ddr 400? I keep getting 333 with auto...

Don't forget I'm using 4X256 which are single sided... Double side must have problems with 4X512...

True, but double sided is suppose to work at DDR 400 @ 2T. Its clearly a DFI issue, as I'm at DDR 400 overclocked right now. The board just won't let me do it at stock.

Single sided 2x1024 can do DDR 400 @ 1T.

Sky,

Reset the CMOS.

If you are trying to install the OS, only boot with one stick. If that doesn't work, try either one of the orange slots or yellow slots.

If it still doesn't work, up the default voltage on the CPU a bit and see if that works.

I couldn't install Windows without increasing the voltage, as the board undervolts quite a bit.

I think it is "2 strikes" and your out...

1 is they are double sided. 2 is that there is 4 of them....

Just got this mobo a couple of days ago. Came with 602 Bios. But there was no option to choose 1T in the Bios. I went to DFI’s web site and D/L 602. which is the same that came with the stock board. But there was an option to choose 1T in the Bios.

My Ring Config. and cooling as per sign.

It seems that it can run on 1T with 2x256Mb RAMs. I tried 2x512Mb RAMs and it won’t even boot!
