pretty lame to ban someone without a sig, when I've seen people have over 2,000 posts and currently still do not have one....

there are currently 17 users with 1,000+ posts, and all of them have a sig

there are a few users who are exempt from a sig since they are not here to ask for help, but to give help, and are specialists in their own area.

you can think its lame to ban someone, but we have rules here, and you along with everyone else must follow those rules. If someone doesn't have a sig they are alerted to make a sig. If they still won't follow the rules, then the rules state exactly what will happen.

You do not have to come here to get help. If you cannot follow the rules, or do not like the rules, there are other avenues of support you can take, but they are not nearly as good as this route.

but the chipset is socket independant

Well I sorta believed that too when I first read of the NF3 chipset but after all the manufacturers with one or the other of problems and folks wanting to leave Epox because they won't let the bios do what it needs and MSI and them boys having their own brand of fun and games and what I have personally seen of my NF3 U-D experience. I am not so sure it is a good marriage at all.

Just a question. But wasnt the 939 socket originaly developed Around the Nf3 and Via chipsets that were current at that time as 939 socket was introduced? Wasnt that Before there was a NF4 chipset?

My first 64 Chip was a FX 51 , And a ASUS SK8N with the Nforce 3 150.. And I remember Being Pi _ _ ed when they dropped a pin and changed to the 939 socket. And I had just dropped two grand in a already outdated system Not 3 months after I built it... HEHE talk abouot bad timming

Guest hillbilly
rodan = no sig after this long, gets a ban

the rest of you...better listen up like Rgone says and quit the bs or this thread will be done for as we do not have time to babysit everyone. When I wake up and get 7 emails begging me to come and stop the flaming and bs in this thread, it's time to take a pretty hard stance with some of you.

Most of you are good members and are trying to help...there's a couple of you that are looking for a nice quick vacation. Keep it clean and on topic, and be respectful...

new here browsing last cuple a days, seen rodans posts.

?

how did he edit his sig after banning

Also just wanting people to share what bios setting's worked for them as to help me achieve a stable mild overclock of my 4400 to 4800 speed, as this seems easy enough but bf2 stable is a different story.

Anyone here seeing beter results from using Win XP 64 BIT? Im using the eval download and it seems very quick and stable so far.

Not sure about using 4 sticks.. I'm using a OCZ 2 Gig kit, see my sig. Anyway, the whole key for me was a tip I got in some earlier posts, download and run A64 Tweaker, print or copy all the ram timings, go back into bios and enter them manually. After rebooting, you can feel free to tweak some of the timings, including 1T, etc.. Good Luck!

so your saying i should set my ram speed to 200mhz or whatever i was shooting for and then run a64 tweaker and then copy the values, or just run it at the 166auto setting and copy the setting from tweaker?
