Randallw23 Posted May 29, 2005 Posted May 29, 2005 I've heard that the TCCD chips are hard to find now. Anyone know which ones I can get at this time that will clock in over 300 1:1 ?
TheFlowerKing Posted May 29, 2005 Posted May 29, 2005 Most of the best results I've seen are with OCZ EL PC3200 Rev2 and Gskill PC4400LE. Check out this thread in XS regarding the highest stable TCCD clocks for NF3/4: http://xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=53290 Should give you a fair idea of some of the modules out there that are getting the numbers you seek.. TheFlowerKing Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 Good call Wangerin! Best bet is for the G-Skill's then, OnePageBook over at XS has been doing some amazing stuff with them.
red930 Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 What about PDP Patriot XBLK,anyone know if they are still TCCD,I emailed them but never got a reply yet.
Guest burningrave101 Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 He asked what TCCD. The newer OCZ plat rev2 chips are TCC5 I beleive. I believe the newer TCC5 chips used still clock very well although they require more voltage. If they have TCC5 chips the sticker on the DIMM will say v1.1 in small print. I don't think anything that was previously TCCD is anymore...it's all going to TCC5 since Samsung discontinued the production of those chips. According to Steve @ OCZ though, they are pretty much identical chips, which is why even though the new Plat. Rev. 2's use the TCC5, they didn't create a new revision number for them because the chips are almost identical. I would agree with the XBL's though, they're cheaper than the GSkill's and still clock very very well.
p0tter Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 I dont think the newer XBLK are TCCD, some sites from pricewatch listed them as TCCD and do not now.
