Recommended Posts

Pictures of the ram thanks to www.nintek.com.au for the RAM :D

*Note that the timings on my modules are rated 2.5-3-3-7 instead of 2.5-4-4-8. OCZ realised that it can do 2.5-3-3-7 24/7 and hence the stock timing changes.

My Setup

[bimg]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v394/babyelf/DSCN2444.jpg[/bimg]

Test configuration

A64 3500+ Clawhammer

OCZ Value VX

DFI NF4 Ultra-D (bios 331-2)

MSI 6800GT (stock)

OCZ Powerstream 520W

WD 120GB SATA

Test results:

200mhz 2.5-3-3-7 2.6v

3dmark05 = 4836

sandra buffered = 5896/5828

superpi 8MB = 7m 07.953s

Everest Write = 1994 MB/s

Everest Read = 5649 MB/s

Everest Latency = 55.9ns

200mhz 1.5-2-2-6 2.8v

3dmark05 = 4881

Sandra buffered = 5956/5902

Superpi 8mb = 7m 00.515s

Everest write = 2078 MB/s

Everest read = 5812 MB/s

Everest latency = 48.0ns

220mhz 1.5-2-2-6 2.9v

3dmark05 = 4889

sandra buffered = 6167/6088

superpi 8mb = 6m 56.860s

Everest Write = 2268 MB/s

Everest Read = 6332 MB/s

Everest Latency = 43.7ns

240mhz 1.5-2-2-6 3.3v

3dmark05 = 4896

sandra buffered = 6745/6658

superpi 8mb = 6m 21.546s

Everest Write = 2484 MB/s

Everest Read = 6916 MB/s

Everest Latency = 40.2ns

250mhz 1.5-2-2-6 3.4v

3dmark05 = 4904

sandra buffered = 7019/6937

superpi 32mb = 29m 30.063s

Everest Write = 2607 MB/s

Everest Read = 7247 MB/s

Everest Latency = 38.4ns

255mhz 1.5-2-2-6 3.6v

3dmark05 = 4928

sandra buffered = 7171/7092

superpi 32mb = 28m 44.125s

Everest Write = 2665 MB/s

Everest Read = 7415 MB/s

Everest Latency = 37.6ns

i didn't want to go higher as i thought that 3.6v is on the border line of feasibility of daily usage with active cooling. I reckon with more burning in i can achieve 260mhz 1.5-2-2-6 stable without problems.

Just a sneak preview of what i'm aiming for now with these :)

Yer i also have one of these fan card things. Great for cooling the video card if it has passive cooling. MX420 has found some new heights :D. A bit loud at full speed though.

do you mind posting your bios settings baby elf? I can't seem to get my Value VX past 241HTT stable on 3.2v, And when I use 3.4volts I get memtest errors in test 5 and sometimes in test 2 and 6.

I get 3030 MB/s Memtest Bandwidth @ 241HTT with settings below. Is this any indication of a wall I might be hitting? My everest scores are similar to yours at 250HTT. Do you think they have more in them?

Mine would fail DDR 200 @ 2-2-3-10. Then I ran everything at stock and realized it was defective. My Value VX is currently in RMA. pray my sticks are good!
