intenso Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 Hello all. I'm planning to Buy DFI LP UT NF4 ULTRA-D mobo soon, and i want to get newest revision possible, so i e-mailed question about revisions to official DFI distributor in my country (Latvia). I asked them "What revision of the DFI LP UT NF4 ULTRA-D board you currently sell here'. And i got anwser - AA01 I entered search in this forum and it found nothing.. hmm. Does that revision even exist?
Markus_d Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 my boars is A01... A01, A02, A03...all the same, only thing is that they may have newer bios, but that you can fix yourself so...
intenso Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 yes, but they said - AA01, not A01.
smids Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 Well I have revision AA0, so it only makes sense to follow on with AA01. I think that these are the latest versions coming from DFI. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though.
Angry_Games Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 A01 / A02 / AA0 / AB0 is how the revision codes go
Viper6 Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 A01 / A02 / AA0 / AB0 is how the revision codes go Thanks for that... Now can you tell us what the difference is between them Angry. In the past you have said the only differences lies in the BIOS version... Now there is the 1/25 BIOS version and the 3/10 BIOS (the latest official). So where does the AA0 and AB0 come from and what BIOS do they have? It just doens't make sense having 4 board revisions and only 2 BIOS versions... Angry_Games Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 the newer boards should have 3/10 bios on them.
jcniest5 Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 I got R.AB0. Is that good or bad?
Frallan Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 Good its the latest... But so have I (since I flashed the BIOS)... I have read that the Only diffrence between the revisions is that the later revisions come with other software on them.

ARogan Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 How do you tell what revision motherboard you have? I looked over the motherboard and couldn't find the markings. Can somebody point out where to look?
magg Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 There's a sticker underneath the lowest PCI slot, it will say what revision you have. By underneath, I don't mean underneath the motherboard completely [i was confused the first time someone told me this], but on the under-side of the slot. If you have the board laying flat, with the I/O facing away from you, it'd be on the left side of the last PCI slot. So, if it's in your case, it's facing the bottom of the case.
