Rezag1000 Posted May 8, 2005 Posted May 8, 2005 When I was installing Windows, I made two partitions. C= 20 GB and D= 60 GB When I go into My computer, I only see C. Is there something I did wrong while installing windows? Can I correct it without reinstalling windows? Thanks!
Guest Joalaielna Posted May 8, 2005 Posted May 8, 2005 Your 60 gig partition is still in raw format. Windows doesn't know what to do with it. If you boot from your xp disk, format the 60 (but don't install windows) and then restart. Load up windows, and you should see it in MyComputer. marauder Posted May 8, 2005 Posted May 8, 2005 This is normal btw the partitions didn’t go wrong. Now this is what you need to do. Go to control panel, administrative tools, computer management once in there storage then disk management local when your in there right click on the partitions, you can create, format etc.
RB2002 Posted May 8, 2005 Posted May 8, 2005 i usually make my partition after formatting the whole drive then i load up Partition Magic and manually create them after the whole thing is formated and windows is on it
