I already have an expert card along with a hiper 580w. I want the seasonic because of the low noise. My hiper is really noisy.

 

The rest of my system specs:

 

x2 [email protected](1.55V)

X1800xt@780/1660(1.52V)

320gb hard drive

2gb ocz ram

4 120mm fan

 

The system isn't too shabby, and consumes a lot of power. Do you think the Seasonic S12 430w would be sufficient? I got two 12V+ rails, 15A and 14A. It's only like 70$ for it anyhow...

 

EDIT: But my question really is: will I have any problems with my expert card? Or is it likely it won't post?

lo all,

 

i'm just a new member here, and did a few days of reading on this forum.

 

so i just went through this (almost) whole topic (95 pages), the most i read is get the OCZ PowerStream OCZ520 cause this would be the big winner.

further on i spot a lot of the forton source epsilon in the sigs. did skip a few pages after finding the info i thought i wass looking for.

but still would like to hear some opinions about where i think i should choose between

 

 

i want the run my system with:

DFI UT NF4 SLI-DR Expert,

just for know my 3200 venice(until i have the bucks for a 175 opteron)

2 gig OCZ DC gold 3-4-3-8 (noted as one of the recommend mem for oc in the dfi site, should be ok)

7900 GTX 512 MB (no SLi, asus, club 3d or a evga not sure jet, xfx XXX version might have better clocks, but does not give that much more fps, so rather make that hard oc myself with nibitor after some testing with with rivatuner)

1 WD 250GB Sata wich runs WinXP Dual boot winxp32 and winxp64(for testing drivers and that these become good enough for gaming)

1 maxtor 40GB and 1 maxtor 80GB data (backup both)

 

the main thing what i am looking for now is the best PSU for my system, but i am still stocked with some questions for i will decide what PSU i will buy.

the psu should have enough power, so i can add more HDD's or a second gfx-card for sli

main purpose of this system will be FPS gaming and ofcourse getting it to its limits

 

so the main question is choosing between these 3 600 watt psu's (th OCZ PS600 i can't find that one in dutch stores for now so thats not a option for me):

this one does have the eps connector, but is only listed as silent psu, cant find jet anyone with exprerience with this psu and if the performance is good enough for a decent oc

as it is requierd for the expert bord

hmm is also a nice one, it gives a bit on the 3.3V and 5V, but on the other hand the 12V1&2 are better with the 22A both or combined 36A insted of 2 times 18A and comibined 35A

When you compare the Epsilon, do remember that it has four 12V rails, each at 15A (or if you look at the 700W it would be closer to 18A). That said it doesn't mean you get 4x 15A, but not too far from it.

First, sorry about my lack of a motherboard in my signature. I'm probably between boards right now, and this is my second thread so far. I was wondering about this power supply:

It's a bit intimidating to mention it because of all the ÜBER-EXPENSIVE power supplies on the recommended list. However, I've used a few Hipros before, and they all work beautifully. In fact, they have practically no voltage fluctuation. This power supply provides dual 20A 12V rails and great other rails along with a native 24-pin plug. That's pretty good, isn't it? Too bad I can't find any peak wattage charts to map out when the 20A can be achieved.

 

Please excuse the contextual and other errors in my post. I haven't had much sleep, and I just want to finish this, sleep, and get a response. It seems like a good idea. Please correct me, but don't get too hung up over what I've typed.
