I want to buy the Enermax EG651P-VE FM(24P), but i've always had antec PSU's. for 130 bucks this is a great buy, but does anyone think that i should get a different PSU than this one.
That doesn't sound like all that great of a deal.

Link please?

EDIT:

Same very good Enermax for less.

Here is a direct rail comparison of the 2:

Enermax:

+3.3V@36A

+5V@36A

-5V@1A

+12V@36A

-12V@1A

[email protected]

Antec:

+3.3V@32A

+5V@40A

+12V1@19A

+12V2@19A

-12V@1A

+5VSB@2A

As you can see, the Enermax has a higher Amp rating for the 3.3v rail whereas the Antec's total amperage rating for both 12v rails are a little higher than the Enermax. I normally order Enermax PSUs but have beeen mixing in other brands, such as OCZ and Antec, into the computers I build.

Does Enermax share the rails like the Antec always seems to? Are the conditions tested under the same- temp multiple loads etc?

I have the Antec 400w with the 20 to 24 pin adapter and it has worked fine on my setup for a month now, and I know I'm living on the edge with this power supply.

I am thinking of ordering this today; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817194001. What do you guys think? or is there better in this price range?.

You should be able to find the Antec True Power II 550W SLI Certified for under $100 somewhere.

That Enermax is a very good PSU & I believe that you can find them for about $130.

GL

Fortron They have the 3.3 and 5 volt rails shared primarily VS antic 5 and 12.(last I looked) this means you are going to be limited earler. The Fortroncan be had at half the price or less with the same specs and often come out on top of the EM in reviews. There are so so good reviews out there so take it as you may.Two dead Antecs later I am not so egar to get another.

Ok after much soul searching and review reading I have the OCZ OCZ520ADJ 520W Power Supply on the way. I liked the 5yr warranty. I am a little concerned that is only a single rail 12v supply, but then it has to be better than what I have now and it is on the approved list.
