Kordin Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 ok.. i think this machine is finally running a little stable. prime95 runs two test good.. and does ram test for like 4 cycles.. then get an error.. i run everest home edition and see that the mem speeds are 2.0-2-2-6 but on boot up.. system says the speed is... Tcl: 2 Trcd:3 Tras:6 Trp:2 (1T timing) i have no idea really what that means.. but it dont look like 2.0-2-2-26.. any thoughts ? spdiscus Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 That Everest reading is the SPD timing, not the currently-set timing. It sounds like you're running full-Auto DRAM configuration. The board/BIOS defaults to 2-3-2-6. If you want 2-2-2-6, go into BIOS, DRAM configuration and set... 200 (1:1) CPC Enable 2 2 6 2 Auto from spot 7, down. THunDA Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Are you overclocked ? Are you memtestprime stable ? What are your bios settings.. ? I.E.. timingsvoltagesmulti's..
Kordin Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 no overclocked.. cant get memtest to run for me.. dunno why.. run the first two test in prime95 just fine.. last test.. the blend one for memeory... gives error after 10 mins.. had value ram in.. changed to what i have now.. up the volts as suggested.. and it works.. but not stable in 95.. i am a complete novice to this.. thx. kordin
Angry_Games Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 sounds like the system isnt stable. You will get all kinds of errors if you cannot get memtest to pass and cant get any Prime95 to pass, especially at stock speeds =/

THunDA Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 As AG said your having problems becuase your system isnt stable.. The above info isnt really helpfull.. what you should do is .. THunDA Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Ok cool.. One more thing.. Do you have a link to your exact ram ? or do you know what chips they use ? I think your main problem is that you have too much stuff on auto.. What bios are you using too ?
