XIII Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 They run fine stock at 2.6v and at the moment I have them at 200mhz, 2-2-2-5 and 2.7 V., no problem. When I try to run them at 210 or 220 mhz I can boot in to windows but crashes right after.I've tried up to 3.1 V. with different CAS settings. At the moment my CPU is at 2200 mhz with 1.425 V and I'm using the divider to run my RAM at 200 mhz.My goal is to run the Memory at 220 mhz.(not to much to ask for I hope) Any suggestions? This is my new memory
ColtIce Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 I know we have different motherboards but I think the genie bios is pretty similar.I use these settings to run my ram at 221 2-2-2-6. 1:1,1T,2,2,6,2,9,12,2,2,2,4,3120,1,E,IS,0,L1,7ns,5 ns,256clk,E,16x,7x,D atleast that will give you a starting point
GriFFen Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 I was looking to get that ram too because i heard they have UTT chips which give you really low latency and high FSB. Dump a load of voltage through them and you should be able to get them high. Keep us posted, want to know if i should buy them or not. geeman74 Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 have you tried a new bios?

Any more suggestions?
Exar_333 Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 UTT needs more voltage than that...give it 3.3....burn it in using that for a few days, then some ppl can "walk" the voltage down .2 or .1 V....but thats what UTT does, it runs at a high voltage! my VX still runs pretty cool @ 3.4...no issues here... lmmaudio Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 look here for tips http://xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=56685. Are you sure you got utt stuff?
demonR6 Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Why are you running so low a vcore? Isn't 1.425 a little low for OC'ing? I know once I get past 220 I have to start considering a higher voltage to the CPU. At 240 I have to have 1.5@110% to run error free. If I lower the svid to 104% I bsod right away. Personally, I would try giving the CPU more voltage and see if that remedies the problem at all.

that's what I was thinking.I would bump the vcore up to 1.5 to start. It also doesn't sound like your running memtest either.you can try this lower your multi to 8,set memory to 1:1 fsb to 220.run a couple of passes of memtest if that comes back clean raise your multi back up,then a couple of more runs of memtest if it's still clean boot into windows.but I would raise the vcore for sure as I'm willing to bet that is the cause of your BSOD. I'm stable now at 1.425, no problem running super pi, prime 95 and memtest for longer periods. It's definately the RAM that's crapping out on me. Maybe I'll try upping the Chipset voltage a little. mbuc310 Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 I have the Mushkin Blue 3200 too. Runs like Corsair, great at stock speed, but crap at anything above. I have no idea if it is UTT or not. How does one tell?
Exar_333 Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 besides checking the chips behind the heatspreader....feed it tons of voltage!! UTT chips love it!
