danny5 Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 I just wanted to say that I am extremely pleased with my DFI Ultra-D. I have been PC builder and an overclocker for many years now, and I am truly impressed with the quality of the build of my DFI board. I am a mechanical engineer by trade, so I can't really mention too much in regard to the fine points of the motherboard itself and its engineering, but I can say as a user of this product, it is indeed the best motherboard I have ever owned. This is the only board that I have overclocked and not had to reset cmos once, nor modify it for more voltage, or do anything to have superior performance. Sure I pushed it too far, and it didnt post. The support is THE best, hands down, Angry Games and crew, good job. Not to mention the presence of OCZ here, which will probably have me buying their products in the near future too. I just had to tell the folks that are doing this, that this forum was a great idea, and i am sure that it will lure people to the products that you sell. This is my first DFI product, and I am sure it will not be my last.
RacerX27 Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 I second what Danny5 said. Every tweak I make with this board the more I find that I like. Memtest in the BIOS is just too cool. Heya Danny5!

r1derbike Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 A second perspective; DFI and OCZ rock! I bought some of OCZ's Thermal Paste (which is Arctic Silver) to try on my FX-55 and Thermaltake copper cooler, and after it "broke-in" from a few dozen heat cycles, my temps are running 5 degrees cooler across-the-board now. At first, the temps were EXACTLY the same as the white thermal grease that came stock, so I wrongly deduced that the thermal paste purchase did zip to reduce temps...WRONG! Just wait dozens or more heat cycles, and this stuff will reward you with lower temps...at least it did in my case, and I couldn't be happier. btm Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 s'truth. I probably wouldn't have gone DFI if this forum wasn't here to answer all my stupid questions before I ask them. Thanks! Sure wish that I could decipher Angry and R_gone's writing a little more easily though.... ;-)
