Long Beep

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone.

I just got my LanParty UT back from ogie at DFI.

I was having a problem with 1GB of Muskin l II memory. Would only see 512 at a time.

Other than that it ran great.

I put it back together same as before.

Now I'm getting 1 long beep. No video.

Tried 4 kinds of memory in switched slots.

DFI nF3 250GB

6400+ Clawhammer

6800 GT 256MB

600 watt Utra PSU

Tried Geil, OZC, Muskin and Pqi memory PC3200 512 or better.

Thanks for any help.

Kev

I m gona go with okami here and point at the video card ... try taking it out, booting ( not gona boot but u ll hear the beep), turn it off, put card back in, boot.. see what happens..

I dont remember correctly but the one long beep might be "no video card detected" dont quote me on that..

Wait a minute, I made another post similar to this! I'm using a PNY Verto Geforce 128MB. Depending on the many combinations of switching the memory around, using either 1 or 2 sticks, the system either runs with or without that long beep. In either case of beeping or not, I have no video signal. I could really use some help with this!
