thos are my current settings on my dfi lanparty nf4 ultra-d board. i'm having problems hittings higher overclock on my a64 3200+ winnie. the clock i'm at right now is about 2.6ghz which is stable running prime. but if i boost the fsb a bit and run prime it would crash which represents that the system isn't stable enough.

i was wondering if it was my OCZ 512x2 ddram PC3500 that is causing the problems. maybe the dram configs aren't set correctly because i got it off of dfi street and not sure if that is the correct setting for this chip. maybe something different can get me higher clocks. anyone kno what i can do?

also would lowering the cpu ratio to x9.0 be better for higher clock speeds?. i.e. mutiplying fsb with 9.0

or is my voltage not enough? my cpu runs about 53-55C on full load right now. cooling with an zalman.

i would greatly appreciate any comments. thanks!

Puts your full specs in your signature. Click "User CP" at the top of the page.

And you are running a ton of voltage through that Winnie (1.72V). I don't go over 1.6, and most people suggest 1.65 as the top.

What "problem" is there? That's quite a respectable o/c.

That well might be your max. Better cooling might help 50's are fine but mine fails prime in the high 50's. Just because you cant increase the FSB any more doesnt mean you are not stable where you are at. If you can run prime and memtest for 12 hrs and get through 3dmark it is all good. It is not likly the ram you can test that by lowering the cpu multi and increase the FSB.

Looks good not many of the recent Winnies are getting over 2.6- most are not getting 2.5 stable

i'm hearing a lot about new winnies not being able to get passed 2.5 or even keep stable around 2.45. maybe i should lower my voltage. that voltage thing increases my temps i'm wishing lower temps and better clock speeds. i tried 9.0xfsb but system seem to crash and auto-restart after some time running. so i went back to this setting. maybe next stop is liquid cooling. i'll be waiting. =D since i have a thermaltake kandalf that is compatible with liquid cooling!
