jinu Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 I have the nF3 250Gb motherboard. I needed to reflash the mobo back to factory settings and its not flashing. i have tried the bios from the dfi site and tried using awdflash, but no luck. when i just load the computer as normal, i get as far as seeing the windows boot screen before it loops back to the beginning. can anyone please help. no matter what i try now, i get an error message telling me that i need to remove the media and restart. Cyberparasite Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 usually the msg to 'remove invalid media and press any key to restart' signifies that you either have a non-bootable floppy disk in the drive, an unrecognizable cd, some sort of usb device, or your boot priority has changed to a hdd without any system files on it. by the time it gets to this screen you have already passed POST, so simply reset, press del, and enter bios to make the necessary corrections. Prostock62 Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Using Award Utility-Win Flash that came with user cd.The way i do it is to make sure your bios file is a bin file and save it to desktop.Open win flash and under update option the Boot Block is already checked off,now under that the Cmos option check that also. Now under file up top chose open and it will give you the option to locate where you have the file which is the desktop.Chose that then it will prompt you to update bios and chose yes,let it run its corse and it will tell you update a success. Now it ask to reboot,do so and what i do as it shuts down then starts to reboot i shut it down by holding the power button and manualy clear my Cmos for 10 or 15 min then reboot and your done.Hope you understand my instructions, others may do it diffrent and you can take there advice thats up to you but this way can not be any easer.Good Luck.
