RGone Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 twig1 it is my guess since you posted an NF2 problem in the NF3 and NF4 sections that you just plain got no answer and was passed right on bye and I never saw it as fast as the NF3/NF4 threads are rolling off the front page. I am posting this so it is bumped to the top and then I can move it into the correct section where the NF2 users are around to take a look. RGone... Lots of things it could be... 1. VOlts for start not enough so increase slightly to your ram, your cpu, not too much unless you have decent cooling solution... 2. Ram timings are too tight, try the 11,3,3,3,2.5,13,15 settings etc.......on manual......or expert...... 3. Memtest the stick of ram too make sure it can handle running at 400fsb.... 4. Try different slots for the ram, what works in one might not work in another...... 5. DO you have up to date drivers 6. At a very last option and i mean very last unless you know what you are doing try a diff bios.........ONly if all else fails to stabilise systemmmmmmm Snakt.............GLuck.... TheWizzard Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Twig1: Please start out making a sig. and state in your sig what settings you run your system on: cpu settings (volts and multi), memory timings etc., system components. In that way we can try to understand your system a lil better. So lockups. I'm thinking of temp probs. So start off reseating your cpu heatsink and apply some better thermal grease onto the core. Another thing is too tight timings for your ram. Try to flash to the latest bios or try a hellfire one. Can your psu keep up with your system, so check the volt rails, are they stable enough? Shinobi Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Yeah i think he must have figured out the other day that it could be the Bios, probably from reading some of the other posts regarding 3200+'s. The same guy posted here asking how to flash his bios. If that doesn't solve his problem then i'd probably start by looking at Temps and PSU myself as some have already mentioned. twig1 Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 ty all will make a sig with all my stuff.my heat is good, i just got to try new bios now.and i got a 450w warrior power supply
Shinobi Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Hows it going then twig? Have you tried the new bios yet? Hmmm, 450watt Warrior PSU... I'm guessing that came with the case? I've seen those Warrior Cases with PSU's and they're a bit cheap so i don't think the PSU will be of the greatest quality. It could be that. What are the ratings on the PSU? What Amps does it say for each Rail(+12v, +5v etc)? Also check out the voltages in the Bios, see what it says. Or check them out in Windows with something like Hardware Doctor(Monitor)(3rd download down) or MBM5 and post them here.
