Unfortunately you cannot but at 8x there is very little difference.

i seem to be having trouble with my 3d mark 05 scores and the graphics portion of pc mark04

I have the graphics card in the lowest pcie slot is that No 2 or No 1 slot.

 

Could this be my problem?

I use slot 2, the lower one. I have moved the jumpers so both slots are 8x. There is no real difference in benches from 16x to 8x. I like the lower slot cause on a stock board the videocard will ride directly over the chipset fan. I have since removed the stock chipset fan and installed a zalman passive sink which is tall so the lower slot works best. And my chipset temps are lower than w/ the fan. If you dont move the jumpers that could be why your benches are low, cause you are at 2x

looks like i had my card in the wrong slot be nice if manual mentions that only one slot runs at pci-e 16x
