you can use the DFI NF2/NF3/NF4 to hotflash any of those mobo's BIOS chips. I have used the NF2 to hotflash NF4 chips, I have used the NF3 to hotflash NF2 chips, and yesterday I tried the NF4 to flash the NF2 chip.

be careful...i dont recommend it (i get to do it because I work for DFI and can have them replaced in an instant...not a luxury that you guys have...but if you are desperate then you can do it in a pinch...but you DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Dug up my secondary nF2 Ultra Infinity bios chip:
Winbond
W39V040AP
233535501
345GGAA
Will this cooperate with nF4 Ultra-D Rev.001? It'd be nice to have a spare bios.

Hmm. The original chip on my deceased UI was SST 49LF040.

I bet just putting the bios on chip made by Winbond would surely raise my OC :D

The Winbond 39V040AP is compatible with the SST 49LF040.

So now you have two spare chips.

Tmod-

If you don't already have this attached is a pic of the BIOS chip on the nF4. Assume this will help.

Just received 2 new bios chips from Tmod. One was for the DFI NF4, and the other was for a Biostar Ideq 200n. Ordered on Saturday, received on Thursday. Both work perfect.
I just noticed that they are both the same chip. The Ideq uses the 49FL040 chip, also. So I have two spare chips!
