Hi,t-mod...

I have a problem with my bios....

http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=65491

But I think,at outside of US,you don´t send any chip.....(I´m come from Spain)

Is it correct.....??

TX :)

Hi Murphi,

I am sorry to say that I do not send chips outside of the U.S. at the moment.

I am trying to figure out how to make this feasible for me and keep the prices down to a manageable level.

how would you change it - does it just pop out ? for some reason i belieaved the bios was a round little chip like a battery - :)

Yes I used the 704-2BTA.

The socket for the chip is not far from the battery (The little round silver thing).

You can find more info in a tutorial I wrote Here.

It is a tutorial for Hot Swapping but it covers removing the chip and it shows the socket as well.

Let me know if that doesn't help.

thanks for that link - but i thought if in the event my bios gets messed up and wont work - i belieaved i could power everything off -

pop out the bios and put in the new one - then power up --

that was my understanding from hearing others that did it on this forum

is this not correct - ? or am i missing something

thanks

You are 100% correct.

I posted that link just for the info on how to remove the bios chip.

You do NOT need to follow the steps in that tutorial.

Pop the old out and place the new one I sent you and repower.

Now set it up as you had the other one.
