Benamin Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 Okay my system is put together and stable. Now I want to start OC'ing. I did a 3Dmark2005 test before oc and got a score of 4988. Does this sound reasonable. Oh I put my vid card back to stock for this as well (sig shows oc) I just want to make sure things seem A ok before I start playing with stuff to overclock higher. Thanks for comments in advance. Benamin
ninja44 Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 What are you waiting for? GIVE IT THE HORNS!!! Score seems about the average for your system specs, have fun OC'in, take it a little at a time and enjoy the speed :shake:
Hemidare Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Ure memory might hold you back a bit but if you put it on a divider you should be fine! If whats in your sig is an indication 3.2 volts for your memory already!? That is why it might hold you back if that is at stock speeds. Benamin Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Well I'm a rookie at this, but right now I am playing with keeping all my timings as tight as possible. I updated my sig but I got a 3d05 of 5588 in this last run @ 2.475mhz. I just downloaded the free version of 3dmark05 and I don't think it will show me my CPU scores? Tommorrow I'll see where I can get my CPU. It sure takes awhile to run memtest and then prime95 for every step up. Thanks Benamin
Browndog Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 sounds like you getting there with that ram looks like nice stuff be interesting to see how far you can push her. The cpu score im talking about is in the free version its just blow the total score when u view it in the details, its not broken down into catagories. mine was cpu score in 3dmark 05 3997 when at 11x250 mhz (2.75ghz) thats why i think theres something wrong with my gear let me know how you go with scores thanks
Benamin Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 Well I a have been playing around some more. I updated my sig. I got 5603 3d05 score and I found the the 3DMark05 cpu score which ended up at 5452 which is higher than yours and I don't know why. I'm running 11x235mhz in this test. Maybe there is something wrong with your proc but I wouldn't know. Good Luck Benamin
rhiridflaidd Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 3d mark o5 gives a benchmark of mainly graphics card performance. If you want to see how well your processor is doing 3dmark 2001 is a better bet.
