OldGuy Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 I plan to overclock and need to know if it's worth it to go with one gig of RAM, either in matched pairs or one module, or is it overkill. I know for stability one module is the safest way to go so will I really need or utilize the extra 512 megs??? The computer is only going to be used for gaming and web surfing so would it be wiser to spend a little extra and just go with one high quality module?? mobo is a LP nf3 250gb

The-Vulture-DSA Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 I would go with the gig of ram. but it also depends on what games you play. Ram will help load times go faster for maps, areas or saved games not to mention helping gameplay itself. It is cheaper to go with two sticks of 512 but if you spend the extra money on a good pair of matched sticks and overclock them it usualy works out real nice, just make sure to search the forums for what people suggest what exact sticks to get. Tony420 Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 If you plan on doing any gaming whatsoever get a GIG. 512 is crap for gaming...unless your playing old DX7 games still...
