OldGuy Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Hi all...I'll be setting up an LP nf3 250gb over the weekend and I have lots of questions. Rather than ask a ton of questions in one post I'm gonna break em' up and flood this forum with everything from RAID 0 to memory to OC'ing.... I'm running Norton AV2005 with nVidia Firewall enabled with an MSI K8N neo (which is going to be returned...69.00 dollar POS, should have known better)...So far as that goes it seems to be working fine. I'll have a netgear firewall around for other systems but should I just run the external firewall and not mess with the onboard one that comes with the LP? Thanks in advance! Vista Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 I'd avoid the nVidia firewall, you don't need it with an external firewall with decent settings and it's one more thing to go wrong.
Smoken Joe Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Yes you dont need the nvidia with an external. It wastes bandwidth.
Mozzy Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 NVidia firewall has excellent results till now, for me, and has a lot of work done  You can keep the external firewall but you don't need it anymore. Just set up well your NVidia...
