You cant get below the ambient temp of your case. What are your case temps? Do you have good case flow expecaly around your CPU cooler?

how can i tell the case temp? i know i wont get down too ambient temp. but shouldint i be runing atleast 48 too 50 at 1.64vcore? right now i got it back too 1.5vcore 2.5ghzs and its at 48 too 50 at full load thats what i thought it whould be with 1.64vcore. i got 120mm fan in front below my cdrom blowing in and i got a 120mm fan in back blowing out than i got a 80mm 5000rpm fan below the video were the pci slots are blowing out fo the back at 580rpms. so i whould think the air in my case is good.

You will see alot better results with AS5... I dropped my 7000 in using cermique and wasnt pleased, so i tried AS5 and had 10c drop in temps from stock heat sink

Also it takes over 200 hrs PLUS for AS5 to set completly...

Then you did something wrong when you used the Ceramique. At the most the temp

difference will about 2C.

i got a blow hole in my side panel with a green cup on it. and i was wondering should i take the cup off than mount the 80mm 5000rpms that i have here http://img135.exs.cx/img135/2335/inside30wn.jpg

too the blow hole blow over top of the zalman blowing in or out? or should i keep the cup on than put the fan on the end of that? heres a pic of my side panel http://img71.exs.cx/img71/165/sidewindow3zk.jpg the top pic is were the 80mm is.

have you tried mounting it in a different direction

if that can be done

my stuff arrives tommorow and after reading this thread i guess lower temps arent going to happen

i hope its quieter than stock HSF otherwise its just gonna be a cosmetic purchase

which is waste of money for me
