Freez Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 So Monday I should have my Ultra-D in my hands to play with. However, I am wondering what are the first steps I shoudl take to get the best performance out of the board without wasting too much. I know all basic overclocking techniches, however, I have used a LanPartyUT for the socket754 Athlon and found the options to be bewildering. If anyone could point me in the right direction as to what to know/look for/or anything of the sorts which I should know about my board I would appreciate it. Thanks! Poisonsnak Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 To start I would flash the 3/10 bios and load optimized defaults. Then lurk in this forum: http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=9 That's pretty much it, these new DFI nF4 boards really require a lot of patience to tweak but man are the rewards worth it. It makes me laugh when I try to work on one of the computers at work and it allows me 2 options for RAM voltage (2.6 and 2.7), I can't change any timings, and there's a field called "enhance RAM compatibility"
dshoffman Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 Just a quick note, If you are using a single DIMM, be sure to put it into the ORANGE outer most slot (slot 2). Not Slot 1.
