shadyone Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 i just got my new 2500+ installed on my new a7n8x deluxe mobo and it works good. one problem i am having is i used to have a cheaper phillips seismic edge sound card in my old pc when i had ecs mobo in there and it sounded better in half life than the soundstorm. My problem is when i play half life the sound is kinda muffled in my headphones. but it sounds alright when i play music like mp3's. i have looked thru sound options and no solution. is the sound on this board piece of crap or what i thought it was good onboard sound. help help help. i don't think it is a problem within half life because i play thru gamespy and when i click join gam,e it says "launching game" and it sounds fuzzy or muffled too. i am kinda pissed as i thought this board came with good onboard sound. Shaggy Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 try going to nvidia's website to see if they have any new drivers for the soundstorm
Capo Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 It's a current bug that Asus is "aware of," and they have been promising an update to fix it soon. There are some possible work arounds though I've come across. I suggest reading this FAQ and check out the forums there (Great place for Asus board info).
