Guest oRiOn Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Ok guys I know alot of people have this ram: TWINX1024-4400C25PT and here are my settings that allow me to hit 296x9 @ 1.6 volts I dont run that because its too risky with my case setup atm, until i get my watercooling Ok these settings are error free for 6 hours 18 passed 0 failed in memtest! Mhz: 200 1:1 CPC: Enabled TCL: 2.5 TRCD: 4 TRAS: 7 TRP: 3 TRC: 10 TRFC: 15 TRRD: 3 TWR: 2 TWTR: 1 TRWT: Auto TREF: Auto TWCL: 1 Bank Interleave: DISABLED Skew : Auto Skew Value: 0 DRAM Drive Strength: Level 7 DRAM Data Drive Strenght: Level 1 Async Latency: 7 nano seconds Preamble: Auto IdleCycle Limit: 256 cycles Dynamic Counter: DISABLED Bypass: 16X Bypass MAX: Auto 32 Byte Granularity: Disabled (8 Bursts) Well there you go, have fun testing, just remember that you want 2.5 # # 7 those 2 numbers are proven best for winchesters on this ram! I tried 2.5 3 3 7 @ 2.9v and no luck, same with 2.8v, just a bunch of errors run this at 2.8volts and run memtest, post results! Guest oRiOn Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 I guess no one has this ram? c'mon Well here is my screen shot! http://www.geocities.com/arsnl2k2/finale.jpg
Mastakilla Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 nice oc! but why "Bank Interleave: DISABLED"? too bad my winchester doesnt like high fsb or the lower multipliers :/
Muzikfreakah Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 I have the corsair XMS XPERT 3200CL2 PC400 but will try your settings. Im @ 280x9, 2.5,3,3,7 1:! Cpu voltage: 1.5 Vcore: 1.
Guest oRiOn Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 AMD says that their proc's are 1.4v! Thats why im not pushing 1.6v until I get my watercooling. So once I get water cooling I will hit 300x9, i can easily reach 296x9 NEW UPDATE! 25 PASSED 0 FAILED! 8 Hours Straight! http://www.geocities.com/arsnl2k2/DSC02038.JPG edit* I'm going to up the volts to 2.9 turn on bank interleave and run 2.5 3 3 7 and test it while im in school, I will report back ASAP
Guest oRiOn Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 ok 2.5 3 3 7 didn't turn out ok, and 2.5 4 3 7 @ 2.8v are rock solid, prime95 for 7 hours, I clocked down to 289x9 until i get my watercooling rig
Guest oRiOn Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 mastakilla, the reason why you can't clock your winnie is becuase the new winnies need some more volts in them, try 1.55v @ 104% and if you have good cooling run 1.55 @ 110% and you can hit 296 maybe
Guest oRiOn Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 ok after running prime95 for hours and running various tests on different settings I believe that one of the best settings for this ram is the ones stated above: Mhz: 200 1:1 CPC: Enabled TCL: 2.5 TRCD: 4 TRAS: 7 TRP: 3 TRC: 10 TRFC: 15 TRRD: 3 TWR: 2 TWTR: 1 TRWT: Auto TREF: Auto TWCL: 1 Bank Interleave: DISABLED Skew : Auto Skew Value: 0 DRAM Drive Strength: Level 7 DRAM Data Drive Strenght: Level 1 Async Latency: 7 nano seconds Preamble: Auto IdleCycle Limit: 256 cycles Dynamic Counter: DISABLED Bypass: 16X Bypass MAX: Auto 32 Byte Granularity: Disabled (8 Bursts) all @ 2.8v it is super stable and good speed, with low volts so you wont fry your ram. juanflaiter Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 I got them yersterday. Will try your settings.
RyderOCZ Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Mastakilla, (this would apply to anyone reading this with a late 04 or early 05 winnie) Try using lower volts in the CPU VID (no more than 1.40) and higher percentages, see if that gets you a larger OC. Example: CPU VID = 1.35 + 113% = 1.525V or 1.30 + 123% = 1.599 Hope that helps
Mastakilla Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 tried that, didnt work... :/ also that only seems to help when ur voltages are wrong i think? and my voltages are right, and do rise when i augment them normally i also discovered that using the % the voltage becomes variable... and to stay stable at the same speed i had to put that % voltage in a way that it gave more volts, then if i would do it without giving it much percent so that even worse then the 104% is use now...
