I have been looking for some of the hynix PC4400 stuff and think I know how to tell it from TCCD.

Look in the right corner of your picture, there is a small chip there, it says AT34 on it.There are some larger mounts therefor a larger chip( the four large solder pads at the top). Both my ocz4000 gold(hynix-d43) and ocz4200(hynix-D5),I removed the heat spreader, have a large chip in that corner( twice the size of the AT34) that sticks out all the way to the end of the pcb and is easy to see outside the heat spreader.

I do not have a good digital photo of it to compare.

That AT34 is the SPD (Serial Presence Detect). It does seem rather odd that one version of memory would have a larger SPD than the other though component changes from one revision of the same memory to the other is not uncommon in the industry.

Mike I just got bitten also.

My OCZ EL 3200 Platinum is not TCCD! Its 510 TCC5! It is still very fast but not stable over 266fsb at 6-3-3-2.5 at 3.0V.I was looking for the 4ns TCCD stuff.
