How about 20 pin modded to 24 pin?

Antec SL350 with 3.3v, 12v, and 5v/gdn pulled form molex and aux connector, modded into the 4 extra pins...

Holds 12.02v on my 12v line under 2.6ghz A64 1.7vcore, 230mhz mem, 3.2v, wd800jb, dvd burner, 4x 90mm fans, tornado, and now 2 UV CCFL's.

Prime stable. :)

then you have a 20-pin psu since it is not a real ATX2.0 24-pin psu

but it is not a 24-pin power supply. it is only a 20-pin power supply that you have modified. Not much to argue about there.

thats not the point. ATX2.0 is about the dual 12V rails, correct me if i am wrong !

But..of course HIS is now a "24pin PSU" (whatever the definitition is...because it provides 24pins :) ) and so is my Enermax which i modded too....but its not ATX2.0 because it has only one 12V rail :)

This is the key concept modded!

If it's modded it isn't a true ATX 12V 2.X power supply. It doesn't get much more to the point than that!

Nothing else matters.

Thats why I asked what all they changed with the "2.0" spec... if its just extra lines from the PSU for more connectors, then it would effectivly meet the 2.0, basicly, imo.. but they changed more, I'm assuming..

I'm not sure if this is necessary to be considered a 24 pin, when comparing, or a 20 pin--

using just 20 pins is completely unstable.

using the 4 modded pin adaptor, I achieve 2.6+ghz stability... Its doing the same work and connections as a normal 24 pin.... but is "stock", a 20...
