DimensioN Posted June 14, 2003 Posted June 14, 2003 well uhm, do you have the latsest drivers installed? you could mess a little with the Nvidia driver options.. (anti-aliassing) and stuff..
General912 Posted June 14, 2003 Posted June 14, 2003 I think Nvidia was dumb when realising the FX series. I would of waited for the next cards man. Everyone is bad mouthing em. I guss the card is ok for a budget one. but the FX 5200 Ultra is a pure waste of money. Its fudging hidious.
RVE Posted June 15, 2003 Posted June 15, 2003 My comp is a 1.8Ghz P4 with a Geforce3 Ti500, and I get about 1200 on 3DMark03. I think the 5200's are either for people with really tight budgets, or the casual gamer who doesn't really know what he's doing. They just see a brand new video card for $100 and think it's a great deal. Don't get me wrong, $100 is a good deal, but with only a mediocre increase over my aging GF 3...I'd say 5600 Ultra is the lowest card I'd buy. Its fudging hidious. your right about the fx5200 . but on the other side, the new upgraded cards (fx5900) plays the ATI 9800 his shorts off.. (in almost every benchmark) so it's obvious nvidia has made a come back, and we 'll just have to see how the really new cards are going to work out
Ifurita-X Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 *** Personally I think ATI is still gonna come out on top over NVIDIA **** I have used both ATI and NVIDIA cards, let me tell you ATI is a way better card !!! I love the Sapphires 9500 series, best bang for the BUCK, and at stock speeds I benchmark around 3400 on the 2003 10800 on the 2001 3d marks.... RVE Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 You only have a 9500? So you are basing you're entire opinion on your 1 ATi card? If i bought a 9500 and compared it to my GF3, then of course the 9500 is gonna 0wn it!
