What temps do i trust

Howdy

 

I have prime 95 running it the background and i get these temps from smart guardian

 

CPU 40 PWM IC 47 and CHIPSET 47

 

everest reads

 

Motherboard 48 CPU 47 AUX 41

 

this is my 3000+ @2.25ghz, its prime stabe for 18 hours, but i'd like to know what the temp really is.

Since I trust the system BIOS over programs, this is what I did.

 

I let the system idle for 30 minutes. I opened Everest and took note of each sensor and the temp.

 

I then rebooted and went right into BIOS. I verified the sensor and temp info with what I had written down.

 

Everest was right on the money for each sensor and temp.

Well assuming the bios is right, (sure hope so)

 

Smart Guardian is right

 

what i learned

 

BIOS CPU = SMART GUARDIAN CPU = EVEREST AUX

 

BIOS CHIPSET = SMART GUARDIAN CHIPSET = EVEREST CPU

 

EVEREST CHIPSET = SMART GUARDAIN PWM IC

Edit: Doh! Just noticed that you are running SLI and I'm on a UT 250Gb.

 

Wow, that's really off compared to mine.

 

Check for the latest version of Everest since I'm running BETA 2.00.272.
