Very good job. I installed and I'm monitoring temps now in my G15 Lcd screen. Just an issue, it doesn't show my ambient temps. I have a 8800GTS, shows my GPU core temp perfectly tho. I have done everything (I think) without success. There is any incompatibility with the 8800's for the ambient sensor?

The ambient sensor went by the wayside after the 6xxx series I do believe....

Also, I kept getting BSOD's and after not starting ATiTool beta .27 havent had any, been a couple days without issue...

Just thought I would share info.......

EDIT:

The BSOD's werent from ATiTool, got that fixed, and is running without issue.....

Hi all

Made the switch from WinXP to Vista (Home Premium 32bit) and wanted to install MBM5 as have been using this program for so long nothing else really compares.

The program installed fine and i did the reboot, after the reboot i try to run it and i get: Exception exception in module mbm.dll at 00021EAA

Ive clear the registry out of MBM5 settigns and reinstalled 3 times just to be sure.

If i reboot and press F8 and select the load unsigned driver options i get the same.

I have tried run as admin and that shows the splash screen then locks my computer up.

Now if i try and Run MBM5 i either get restarted or BSOD

Any ideas on how to get this great program running? or can someone recommend an alternative.

Thanks in advance

Mike

have you got cpu usage on. that produces an error (not sure which though) sometimes when starting up.

open up cmd prompt ant type - bcdedit -set loadoptions ”DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS”

that will allow unsigned drivers in 64bit versions

i have a question: is there going to come MBM version out for the nforce 680i chipset's it would be very nice since there is really nothing out there for controlling the temp's like MBM does it!?

Wow, I've been asleep on the job :) Somebody biatch slap me.

Unfortunately, no one has MBM5 working on the 680i.

You may want to try the apps listed in the 1st post in this thread.

Everest, SpeedFan, NextSensor.

MBM5 does not control the temps (I think you mean fans).

Does the board come with any "Software Monitoring Utility"?

Hi soundx, yes it come's with software Ntune but there is no good temp control in it and but yes you can control the fan's but i don't care about the fan's they work just fine with my Fan controler :) it's all about the temp's and the other's are really not good for it i just love MBM but have to wait till somebody make's maybe something out of it to work on it bc there is no one program that show's the chipset temp :(

But thank's for the respond :)

Dont know if you guys know yet or not but:

ATiTool 27 beta works with Vista 32bit, in x64 you got to shut off driver signing. Ported the temp to 25, so MBM reads it.

Doesnt pick up the GPU and MEM clocks, but monitoring GPU temps is more important I think.....heh

hey i'm running vista 32bit witha 7900GS. everything is working except gpu temp monitoring. i have ATiTool 27 beta install, and set sensors 21 and 22 and 25 (GPU temp) to "custom". it displays 0 degrees still is dashboard, the systemtray icon for ati tool says 45 which sounds correct.

how'd you get it working?

edit: never mind, worked it out. atitool n00b here, just installed it for the first time today :)

My little contribution to this thread using a Logitech G15 and MBM2G15....

I use MBM2G15II, its a beta version, but it quite stable if you "set it and leave it alone" (though programming the functions can cause a few crashes)

Download MBM2G15II here

*Make sure to get the python.dll and put it in your system32 directory (you only need the dll)*

the one thing i noticed is that MBM2G15II doesn't really like the nVidia Plugin, but i dont really care because i trust my Accelero cooler to do the job.

Here is my layout on the G15:

You can change the first two lines of code to make the program visible when you start it and/or have a system tray icon.

HIDDEN=0 - GUI opens when started

HIDDEN=1 - GUI doesnt open when started

SYSTRAYICON=0 - System Tray icon is NOT shown

SYSTRAYICON=1 - System Tray icon IS shown.

And this is the outcome:

MBM2G15IIscreens.jpg

*edit* just to clear up. on the image above, the clock is 24-hour, trying to figure out how to make it 12-hour.

the two percentages beside the clock are the load on my CPU (Dual core)

the third page shows my chipset (1.5v), my 3.3v line, my 5.00 line, and my 12.00 line. you can change them to whatever voltages you want, or add more to the list.

on the fourth page, the bottom left is the available physical memory, bottom right is my total physical memory.
