Well it is official. This replacement set is nothing but pure sh**. I got them 2 1/2 weeks ago and they looked great. I was able to run them stable at 10x260 @2.6v. Now I can only run them at 242 @2.8v. Once they get rma'd again they are gone. I wish I had known this before I invested 300 in them.

Hi all. First post here on DFI Street.

Just picked up a DFI Nforece4 Ultra D, 2 x 1 GB Ballistix Tracer, Powercolor X1800XT, and a San Diego 3700.

On stock everything runs stable, but when I overclock things get unstable.

I’m pretty sure my problems are related to memory settings. I updated Bios to the newest official one, and cleared cmos. I then followed the DFI overclocking guide.

Running mem :cpu 1:1 10 x 240 HTT 3-3-3-8 @ 2.7v is so far my most stable speed. That’s when running all memconfig on auto in bios.

What are the best DRam biossettings for my tracers?

edit. just passed memtest. at 240 HTT but prime (blend test) gives me errors.

It is defnitely my ram. I did a rebuild of windows and now the ram will only run at 240 @2.8v 3-4-4-8. It seems that whatever the issue is, crucial has not resolved it and I wouldn't advise anyone to purchase this kit until the gremlins are gone.
