Crucial Ballistix 2x1GB PC4000 kit gone bad (merged)

Well I hope this isn't turning bad for me. I was able to stay at 10x260 @2.6v in a system that had an x2 3800. I put in an opteron 170 and I had to go to 2.8v to do 265x10. I will see what happens when I try to go higher.

Bad luck here. After 2 weeks of no problems running 3-4-4-8 at 2.6v I am now getting blue screens running [email protected] at 255fsb on that system. I gave crucial a second change it didnt' work. I will get these rma'd and sell them on ebay and get some gskill or mushkin. No more hit and miss for me. I don't care how good a company's rma department is, if I have to keep rma'ing the product what good is it to me. Good luck to the rest of you.

Mem is a POS. Whatta ya guys have to do to RMA them? I have the Ballistix Tracer PC4000 2x1gb set. What a waste of money. My Geil Golden Dragon PC3500 2x512mb memory is better than this stuff. I'm just gonna sell them when I get them back from RMA and pick up some OCZ.
