Bosco Posted May 10, 2002 Posted May 10, 2002 Having a 300 watt power supply is most often enough for most computers. Even with you running extra stuff you shouldn't reach 300 watts. The benefit of having a bigger power supply is that you will always have the available power. It is always a good idea to have more power then not enough. Any machines that we build, is at least 350 watts. You are running extra fans etc, and attempting to overclock. you might try and get a bigger power supply like 400 or 450 hope this helps a bit. Billabond1 Posted November 22, 2003 Posted November 22, 2003 yes, i think that a bigger psu would really help you in this situation
LobbDogg Posted November 23, 2003 Posted November 23, 2003 You are probably getting to the limit of the 300 watt with all of that stuff. It all takes power. I would say a 350 or 400 would be good, but if you are looking for the future you can always look bigger to like a 500 or 550. kobalt Posted November 27, 2003 Posted November 27, 2003 (edited) Check the AMPS on the 12v line on the side of your PS box, anything under 14 with the stuff you have is not enough. I"m pretty shure this is what's slowing you down Edited November 27, 2003 by kobalt
